Type of the Ultrasonic Cleaning Solutions—–Which solutions you will use? water, aqueous or Organic Solvent Cleaning Solutions ?

NO.1 What is ultrasonic cleaning solution?

ultrasonic cleaning solution is a chemistry liquid that used to assist the ultrasonic cleaner in doing its cleaning job and get a excellent cleaning result.

NO.2 Do you need a special ultrasonic cleaning agent ?

ultrasonic cleaner, ultrasonic cleaning solutions, ultrasonic cleaning agentThe purpose of the solution is to break the bonds between iterms and their dirt.plain water alone would not normally be effective. The primary purpose of the ultrasonic activity (cavitation) is to assist the solution in doing its job. An ultrasonic cleaning solution contains various ingredients designed to optimize the ultrasonic cleaning process. For example, reduction of surface tension increases cavitation levels, so the solution need to contain a good wetting agent (surfactant).
So i think you should get a good ultrasonic cleaning agent in your cleaning process .it is easy to use, cheap, save time and high efficient.

NO.3 Type of the Ultrasonic Cleaning Solutions

———Which solutions you will use? water, aqueous Cleaning Solutions or Organic Solvent Cleaning Solutions ?

The choice of cleaning solution will greatly affect the results you will obtain with any ultrasonic cleaner, and the correct cleaning solution is very dependent upon the item being cleaned.

1.)Water alone is the most widely and commonly use in our home for ultrasonic cleaing process but in fact it is not a very efficient cleaning solution unless it contains surfactants, detergents or other additives.

2.)Aqueous Cleaning Solutions

Aqueous Cleaning Solutions are water-based solutions that do not contain hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) ,so it is non-flammable,not like many petroleum-based solvents.

—–They usually come as a concentrate that you mix with water, surfactants, detergents, corrosion inhibitors and wetting agents and other components.Aqueous cleaning solutions have a large influence on the cleaning process. Correct composition of the solution is very dependent upon the item cleaned.

—–Water-based solutions can be formulated alkaline, acidic or neutral pH .The contamination you are trying to remove may mild or heavy-duty,so you should be according to this and changing the PH strength.

E.G.—-Acidic water-based solutions CAN remove rust, tarnish and scale.
Alkaline water-based solutions CAN remove oils, greases, waxes, inks,or fat-base buffing and polishing compounds, milk residues and carbohydrates.

—–Most modern aqueous cleaning solutions are currently the most widely used type in industrial
applications and more environmentally friendly than solvent-based cleaners. Always use distilled or reverse osmosis water and not tap water. Tap water contains far too many minerals that you don’t want in the mix.

Water-based solutions are more limited in their ability to remove contaminants by chemical action alone than solvent solutions; e.g. for delicate parts covered with thick grease. The effort required to design an effective aqueous-cleaning system for a particular purpose is much greater than for a solvent system.

Organic Solvent Cleaning Solutions,ultrasonic cleaner

3.)Organic Solvent Cleaning Solutions

—–The organic Solvent Cleaning Solutions contain VOCs that evaporate into the air during the cleaning process.such as Petroleum-based solvents( mineral spirits),white spirits, kerosene. These emissions contribute to smog formation and may be toxic when inhaled. Using low-VOC cleaning materials can help reduce smog, operating costs, and worker exposure to hazardous chemicals.

—–The basis for classification of organic solvents is by chemical composition.

—-Organic Solvent cleaning solutions are less popular due to environmental concerns as well as
concerns for their flammability. They are popular for their quickly dissolving organic soils such as oil, grease, and dirt from parts and residual solvent on parts evaporates rapidly.but they may be toxic and affect human health and the waste solution will pollute the environmental .So We should make sure the workplace is safe and ventilation. Each solvent should be evaluated prior to its use.

—-Keep in mind that any cleaning solution

CAUTION:

  • You do have to be careful with solvents, as most small ultrasonic cleaners are not explosion proofed.
  • Even without a heating element the ultrasonic energy will cause some heating of the solvent, especially during long cleaning cycles.
  • Adequate ventilation should be provided and the tank should be kept covered at all times to minimize evaporation.
  • You also need to be more careful about materials compatibility with solvent cleaning solutions as ultrasonic cleaners can greatly accelerate their attack on plastics.
  • Do not use highly flammable materials cleaning solvent(such as alcohol, gasoline, bleach, mineral acids, solutions with a flash point, semi-aqueous or combustible liquidsas )in any ultrasonic cleaner, even one that has an “explosion proof” rating!
